Mun Siong Yoong, VALLARIS Founder and CEO, was invited to shape a crucial dialogue on how the pandemic and the biggest recession since the founding of modern Singapore has changed our economy, not only over the past year but for years to come.
He spoke at ACCA Virtual Conference 2021 and led a distinguished panelists from Airtrunk, Proxtera and Thomson Reuters. ACCA’s signature conference returns this year with over 600 attendees across Asia Pacific.
The theme for this year’s conference is ‘Reshaping Finance: Digitally Enabled, Sustainability-Focused’. The conference brought together a strong line-up of experts to discuss and share how the pandemic and the digital revolution will forever change the way we shall work, innovate and collaborate.
Exhibit 1: Shaping an Ecosystem for Innovation – Digital (AI, RPA), eTrade Networks and Intangible Assets
In this track, the panel discussed:
- Digital initiatives and cross border collaboration between Singapore and major innovation hubs globally;
- IP and intangible assets – finance functions must be equipped to identify and protect, value and manage, and commercialise these assets as businesses innovate;
- The use of recently innovated e-trade networks, including TradeTrust and electronic Bills of Lading; and
- How Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) will benefit organisations in getting better access to the Chinese and other markets.
